This commission painting is for a non-profit called LIGHTS ON CANCER in Fargo, ND.
They asked me to create painting that illustrates the raw power of the human body, and connects that to the ferociousness that cancer can bring.
The words “Lights ON! CANCER” is trying to say we want to shine a light on cancer, create awareness and support for those fighting the vicious battle.
I fell in love with the concept and the message that will be broadcast through the painting.
So, I created this.
This painting represents all those who are fighting and all those who have already won this hard battle.
I wanted to show that such a terrible disease can transform into something beautiful.
From a strong and brave heart, the disease is transformed into a warm light and into a living plant with flowers.
With the support of others and their faith.
Everything becomes possible.

22x28 in oil on canvas.
